We are exploring a practical community for Gold Coast founders and builders. Before we build anything, we want to hear what would make it worth your time.
The idea
Regular, practical and local.
The Gold Coast has talented people building products, companies and ideas. Many of them work alone or in small teams, and rarely meet others doing the same thing.
GC Startups is an idea for a regular in-person gathering where those people share what is working, swap introductions and help each other move faster. Founders and builders come first. Everyone else is a guest.
It is not launched yet. We are talking to people first, and what we hear will shape what we build.

People starting or growing a company on the Gold Coast, at any stage, who want honest conversation with others on the same road.

Developers, designers, operators and makers who want to work on interesting products and meet the people building them.

Angels, funds and family offices who want early sight of what Gold Coast founders are building, and a closer relationship with the local scene.

Mentors, local business leaders and government and industry contacts who want to see the Gold Coast build more.
How we will start
Small, honest and tested.
We would rather prove the idea than announce it. The plan is to run a short series of in-person gatherings and let the results decide what comes next.

We talk to founders, builders and supporters across the Gold Coast about what they would want.
Gather
We run a small number of in-person events with no heavy infrastructure and no hype.
Decide
If the room is useful, we keep going and grow it. If it is not, we say so and stop.
